Fixed-dose clinical trials of sildenafil. Results vary from person to person.1

How to time it

An evening, timed.

About 1 hour before

Take one tablet

Swallow it with water. A heavy or fatty meal can slow it down.2

When you're aroused

It helps

It supports getting and keeping an erection, as long as there's arousal.

Every 24 hours

One dose, max

Never take more than one dose in a day.2

How it works

What it does in the body.

1Blood flow, not desire

An erection depends on blood flowing into the penis. Sildenafil helps the blood vessels there relax, so more blood can reach where it's needed.2

2It blocks an enzyme called PDE5

When you're aroused, your body makes a messenger that keeps those vessels open. PDE5 breaks it down. Sildenafil slows PDE5, so the effect holds.2

3Arousal still has to happen

It won't cause an erection on its own. You still need to be sexually stimulated.

4It treats the symptom, not the cause

ED can be an early sign of heart or blood-sugar problems, which is why a clinician looks at the whole picture first.

Simple to take, easy to plan.

Step 1

Plan ahead

Take it about an hour before sex.2

Step 2

Watch the meal

A big or fatty meal beforehand can delay it working.2

Step 3

One a day, max

No more than one dose in 24 hours.2

Step 4

Give it a few tries

It doesn't always work the first time. If it isn't helping, your clinician can adjust the dose.

Drinking? A lot of alcohol makes erections harder to get, with or without treatment.

Sildenafil or tadalafil?

Sildenafil or tadalafil?

Trial figures come from different studies in different men, so they aren't a direct ranking. Your clinician will talk through which suits your routine.

Common questions

Sildenafil, answered.

Both. We’re a CQC-registered clinic that happens to live online. Every prescription is signed off by a registered clinician, not an algorithm.
No. Plain brown packaging, no Manova branding, no clue what’s inside. Sent to a home or pickup address, your call.
Then they say no, and you don’t get charged. They might suggest a safer alternative, more tests, or refer you back to your GP. We’d rather lose a customer than push the wrong treatment.
Nope. It’s month-to-month, cancel from your account anytime. No retention agent calling you back.
It isn’t, really. Same medicine, same regulator, same standards. We’re just faster to get hold of, and a lot less awkward to talk to about the things on this page.
